![]() We confirmed the presence of this vulnerable program logic in all versions of Google Android source code and other vendor customized system images. Second, we discover that, during the engineUpdate, the Android system surprisingly nullifies all types of protection of the AVDs and exposes the system to high risks. To measure the seriousness of the identified hazards, we implement targeted evasions at certain time (e.g., end of the scan) and locations (certain folders) and find that the evasions can work even under the assumption that the AVDs are equipped with " complete " virus definition files. First, the malScan mechanisms of all the analyzed AVDs lack comprehensive and continuous scan coverage. Our new understanding of the AVDs' design leads us to discover the hazards in adopting AVD solutions for An-droid, including hazards in malware scan (malScan) mechanisms and engine update (engineUpdate). Therefore, we perform a comprehensive analysis on the design of top 30 AVDs tailored for Android. When the AVDs are deployed on the fast-evolving mobile system, their effectiveness should also be measured on their runtime behavior. This only indicates that current AVDs on An-droid have good malware signature databases. ![]() In its latest comparison of Android Virus Detectors (AVDs), the independent lab AV-TEST reports that they have around 95% mal-ware detection rate. We then translate our findings into a set of design guidelines for reducing the energy footprint of modern AVs for mobile devices. Even though we focus on energy consumption, we also explore other dimensions such as the discrepancies between scanning modes, the impact of file size and scan duration. We explore the relations between various aspects of popular AVs, when handling malicious and benign applications, and the resulting energy consumption. Motivated by the above rationale, we perform the first fine-grained measurement that analyzes, at a low level, the energy efficiency of modern, commercial, popular AVs. Thus, the quality and degree of adoption of malware-detection products is also influenced by their energy demands. From the end users' perspective, a security solution, such as an antivirus (AV), that significantly impacts the battery's life is unacceptable. Among these challenges, preserving the battery life as much as possible is one of the most pressing. Modern smartphones, with their plethora of application scenarios and usage habits, are setting new challenges and constraints for malware detection software. Paper Type: A Case Study Analysis Based paper on the MIUI of Xiaomi Companyīattery technology seems unable to keep up with the rapid evolution of smartphones and their applications, which continuously demand more and more energy. Originality/Value: Based on secondary data available, this paper analyses the influence of User Experience in MIUI provided by Xiaomi. It is found that the company will be able to keep growing as long as it takes advantage of the current scenario and overcome its challenges. Findings/Result: Based on the SWOC analysis of the company, keeping MIUI as a major criterion, the various opportunities and challenges that are there for Xiaomi are discussed. The analysis of the influence of UX in MIUI was done with a SWOC Analysis. ![]() Design/Methodology/Approach: This company analysis was done by referring to multiple online sources, such as websites and blogs that guide and review products based on MIUI from Xiaomi. Objectives: To understand the evolution and features that MIUI has to offer, to do a comparative study with its competitors and to provide suggestions to improve the company based on the analysis done. In this paper, we try to understand how Xiaomi as a company has made the OS a marketing strategy for them to popularize their product and become one of the best-selling mobile phones in China and India. ![]() Mi offers such one OS to its users in the form of MIUI, a modified version of the Android OS that normally comes in stock android-based phones. Even though people generally look only for the hardware features of the phone, it is inevitable to use an Operating System that will take advantage of the hardware features and also be user-friendly. In that way, we cannot deny the fact that Xiaomi also called Mi or Redmi phones are some of the best market players we have seen. When we buy a Smart Phone, we do make sure we buy the best one that offers a combination of Good Hardware, Great Software, and also a price that we can put for the features offered. Purpose: In an ever-changing world, we all have one thing in our hands that is constant, a Mobile Phone.
